church history

Church History   This course, based on James P. Eckman’s Exploring Church History, traces the development of Christianity from its apostolic beginnings through modern times. Students examine key movements, leaders, and doctrinal developments that shaped the global church, with special attention to the growth of the Apostolic faith tradition. The course provides a clear understanding of how historical events, theological debates, and cultural shifts have influenced today’s church and ministry practice.

old testament survey 1 & 2

Old Testament Survey Pt. 1 (Broadening Your Biblical Horizons) guides students through the major themes, historical movements, and theological foundations of the Old Testament using Garnett Reid’s accessible and insightful framework. This course helps learners see the Old Testament not as a collection of isolated stories, but as a unified narrative revealing God’s character, covenant purposes, and redemptive work across generations. Through an overview of key books, people, events, and literary genres, students gain a clearer understanding of how the Old Testament shapes Christian faith, informs New Testament revelation, and broadens their biblical perspective for teaching, ministry, and personal spiritual growth.

new testament

New Testament Survey introduces students to the message, structure, and historical setting of the New Testament. This course traces the life and ministry of Jesus, the growth of the early Church, and the theological contributions of each New Testament writer, helping learners understand how these twenty‑seven books form a unified witness to God’s redemptive work in Christ. Through an overview of key themes, cultural background, literary styles, and major doctrinal teachings, students gain a deeper appreciation for the New Testament’s relevance to Christian faith, ministry, and daily discipleship.

willie lynch letter

The Willie Lynch Letter examines the historical claims, psychological strategies, and enduring cultural impact associated with the infamous document attributed to Willie Lynch, using it as a lens to study the mechanisms of oppression and the resilience of the human spirit. While engaging critically with the letter’s debated authenticity, students analyze its described methods of psychological, physical, and spiritual domination alongside biblical teachings on human dignity, liberation, and communal restoration. This course equips learners to understand how systems of division and dehumanization operate, how they echo throughout history, and how faith‑centered frameworks of identity, unity, and healing offer a transformative counter‑narrative.

the ark

The Ark is an in‑depth exploration of the biblical account of Noah’s Ark, examining its theological significance, historical context, and enduring relevance within Christian doctrine. Students study the narrative in Genesis as a foundational text on divine judgment, covenant, redemption, and human responsibility, while engaging with scholarly perspectives on ancient Near Eastern flood traditions, the symbolism of the Ark, and its role in shaping Christian understanding of salvation and God’s faithfulness. Through guided readings, discussion, and critical reflection, this course equips learners to appreciate the Ark not merely as a story, but as a profound theological event that reveals the character and purposes of God.

elemental theology

Elemental Theology offers students a clear and accessible introduction to the core doctrines of the Christian faith, drawing from Emery H. Bancroft’s Elemental Theology: An Introductory Survey of Conservative Doctrine. This course provides a structured, easy‑to‑follow exploration of key theological themes—including Scripture, God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, salvation, angels, humanity, the Church, and last things—presented in a concise outline format appreciated by students and ministry leaders alike. With its practical approach, biblical grounding, and chapter‑based study questions, Elemental Theology equips learners with a solid foundation for deeper theological study and faithful ministry practice.
